Step 1: Registration on the PM Surya Ghar Yojana Portal

- Click on “Apply for Rooftop Solar” or use the direct link provided.
- Enter your mobile number and verify it using an OTP.
- Select your state and district.
- Choose your Electricity Distribution Company.
- Input your Electricity Consumer Number and the Consumer’s Name.
- Provide your email address.
- Upload your latest electricity bill and a photo of the rooftop or area where solar panels can be installed.
- Finally, enter the captcha code and submit your application.
Step 2: Log In to the Portal
- Log in using your Consumer Number and Mobile Number.
- Complete the application form for rooftop solar installation.
Step 3: Installation Approval
Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive feasibility confirmation. At this stage, you can proceed to install the solar panels through any vendor registered with your DISCOM.
Step 4: Submit Installation Details
After completing the installation, submit the necessary plant details and apply for a net meter.
Step 5: Inspection and Certification
DISCOM will conduct an inspection, and once the net meter is installed, a commissioning certificate will be issued via the portal.
Step 6: Receive Subsidy
Once the commissioning report is generated, provide your bank account details along with a canceled cheque through the portal. You should receive your subsidy within 30 days.
